About Shamba

Shamba is quickly becoming the artist that RnB fans are watching. Originally from New Jersey, she has been making a name for herself in the Atlanta music scene. Music runs in Shamba’s veins; her works feature exceptional vocalism, compelling lyricism, and powerful harmonies, which reflect her upbringing with a DJ father and former So So Def recording artist for a mother. Their shared musical foundation transcends genre and has led to a unique musicality that permeates every piece Shamba touches.

Shamba started singing in the church choir at a young age, and hasn’t stopped since. This opened the door to experimentation with poetry, which eventually led to songwriting and teaching herself to play instruments. Her musical influences include Brandy, Tye Tribett, Kierra Sheard, Michael Jackson, and Missy Elliot.

Shamba has collaborated with several notable artists, including Deetranada and Deante Hitchcock. In addition to performing with genre-bending artists like Jade Novah, Samoht, and Kenyon Dixon. Shamba also sang at the inauguration for the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Ras Baraka.

Shamba's goal with her music is to make the world feel again and to remind them that emotions are the root of our existence. The stars are the limit for this RnB songbird and even then, that may not be high enough. She is, Shamba.

"God gave me a voice to sing with, and when you have that, what other gimmick is there?"
